What's in a name?

What’s in a name? Turns out, a lot.

We have been thinking of a name for the last one week and haven’t liked any. It’s mostly already taken. If not it’s either too simple, too tacky or doesn’t associate well with the service.

We want the name to:
1. be easy to remember
2. Associate well with the service
3. Sound smart (not the most important characteristic to have- but good to have)

We liked 'HeadOutdoors'. Simple. Easy to remember. And associates well with the service. But guess what? It’s taken.

So that’s the pebble in the path right now. Ideas are most welcome :)

Payment gateway: Suggestions invited

“Online payment through credit card / net banking” is emerging as the most popular mode of payment from the survey.

There are a plenty of banks and third party payment gateway providers but they charge fees anywhere between 4-7% of transaction amount besides a hefty setup fee - prohibitively expensive for a startup.

Guys, suggest some reasonable alternatives or a gateway that would be willing to give discount to a startup!

Btw, preferences of adventure enthusiasts are appearing sharper with increasing number of responses …we will share the results soon :)

Posted user survey :)

The excitement has begun!

31 responses so far and increasing; and changing the pattern of results - keeping both poonam and me on the edge of our seats.

Yup, we posted the survey to understand consumer preferences - its simple and doesn' take more than 5 min to fill. In d hindsight though, it luks like we could have lived without a few questions :D

Ahead lies the major task of reaching out to the tour operators. Currently compiling a list of their names & whereabouts (poonam doing the hard work ;) )

Will share key findings of the survey in a few days.

Btw, u can take the survey too at http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB2298KM5HCUC
